I am another Swagman XC user - and I carry a very heavy eZip electric bike plus my wife's cruiser.

I have had more trouble with ease of mounting bicycles and safe, undamaging travel. Best setup so far is the thule hitch mount tire-clamping model with threaded hitch pin.

I have a hitch mount that we used for three years. We no longer use it.
I find it easier to remove the front wheels (quick release) and slide our two bikes into the back of the Chevy Traverse toad. This also protects them from the weather and provides an additional measure of safety from theft.

I looked closely at the dual receiver (actually bought one) ... BUT I ran afoul of the tow weight max: these dual receivers are limited to something like 4,000 pounds - and with my toad (just a Mini at that !) and the dolly ran over the rating for the receiver. Check your weights before you buy !!!

I was going to mention the same thing. Be careful about the cover you use. If it does not tie down it will flap the paint off your bikes.
