Velvac Mirrors

My entire mirror has come loose from the stalk or what ever holds it in place...it rotates freely.

Suggestions as to how to tighten it or what ever holds it appreciated.

There is a hex headed setscrew on the side of the stalk immediately below the mirror body. Depending on the mirror angle it may be very difficult to get at. I had to grind down a hex key to adjust mine.

Go to the Velvac website

Library | Velvac

Scroll down to technical documents and download one on how to disassemble the unit. Good to have on hand.

I second what Bruce said. My driver side mirror turned completely in the wind and would not stay in place. I had to cut an allen wrench down to about 1/2" long to get it to work on the set screw, but now no problems. The set screw on the passenger side is completely accessible on mine, but the driver side is hidden underneath and behind the mirror head.
