I had the SAME experience with them a year ago today. LD was so bad I sent the MH back to the factory and did not accept title until Entegra took care of what LD would not do after I waited a month for corrective work. I see they have not changed any. Snowbird season is not the time to take delivery from LD....they are just too busy. Just my experience.

Suggest that you talk to the General Sales Manager or the CEO. Tell them you are unhappy and want to see the big boss, and don't accept any underlings. In my experience, LD really means well and will move Heaven & Earth to do the right thing, but the guys in the trenches get overwhelmed. Especially at this time of year. We took delivery on a new coach at the end f February in 2002 and it too was a huge trial. Next one was November 2006 and it breezed through with praiseworthy attention from everybody.

That would be the least of my worries. Looks like LD did not honor the contract by not delivering the MH on time and in working order. The courts would definitely err on the side of the OP on this one. The OP can make it right in an instant by writing a new check. I think too many times we try to make excuses for dealers, when spending money like this there should be no unhappy customers due to customer service.

Very Frustrated with Lazy Days

Timeline? They told you their timeline....I would tell them mine. have it ready or I'm gone. Seems like you told them in plenty of time to have it ready. There are too many places that would love to have your business. We normally spend the winter not far from Lazydays and will take a look around at the new motorhomes. Never been impressed with the customer service, but the layout is top notch. As we used to say in the advertising business..."sell the sizzle, not the steak."

I'm having issues with Lazy days too-- but on the service side. Took the coach in 2 weeks ago for an appointment I set up the first week of January-- that was the soonest they could fit me in. The dash A/C wasn't blowing cold. Service "advisor "
is RJ..... after several days of not hearing anything, I called the service advisor-- his comment was that he was too busy to bother with calling customers with updates.... anyway, he said they haven't figured out the cause. It is now 2 weeks later and I get the same lame response. I'll be taking it out of there and to a reliable shop for repairs .

LD would be more than crazy to drag somebody into court in order to force them to honor a check that was stopped because the product and service they sold was defective.

Can you imagine the field day that industry and RV owners' press would have?

Actually it is a check. Putting a hold on it is considered the same as a bad check. You might want to call the local prosecuting attorney and get their take on you doing that since they would be the one to prosecute not Lazy Days. Lazy days will not get the money but you could be facing charges.

As to the issue of a promissory note. Post Dating makes a check a promissory note. If the date is March 3, 2015 and i write you a check dated March 10,2015 and you agree to wait until then to cash it that check is now a promissory note and becomes a contract which means you would have to go go court and file a lawsuit to collect. A check with todays date to cash it is a valid check and becomes a criminal issue.

Quick update:

I guess I got their attention, because today they seem to have their act together. All the punchlist items have been fixed (fortunately with Entegra there were only a few minor things), and it is being detailed at the moment. I'm told we will do the walk through later this afternoon, and hopefully I'll be on my way home sometime tomorrow. If that happens, I'll be pretty happy.

And on a happy note, I absolutely LOVE the new coach!! I'll post a picture of it later when it comes out of detailing...

Bought new (2014) Cornerstone in June 2014. Sink covers (granite) were chipped. Still waiting for LD to get me the correct sink covers. They did send some for an Aspire, though. Last coach from LD for us!

I would love to have your problems right now. As is usually the case with a motorhome, you have got to remain ready for things to go wrong and somehow maintain a positive outlook. It appears that maybe they do read these forums and realized that something needed to be done a little better. As I sit here at my desk at 6:00 on Tuesday, I'd be willing to swap places and problems with you anytime. All the best with your new toy. Soon you'll look back and laugh at the delivery issues you had as you enjoy yourselves on the road and at your favorite sites! Happy Travels!
