Did you do the speed adjustment with the camera or post processing?

Am curious how you did it as the video is very smooth.... I'm guessing about a 20:1 speed change. Either you shot the camera at 1.5FPS (playback at 30FPS) or post processing by keeping 1 frame in 20??? Or another technique?

Awesome video thanks for sharing, we'll be going through there in June. I'll play it again for the wife before we go. Great job!

the shoot was done in 720P 23.976 and speed up to close to 20:1. the reason it's smooth is that it was shot with a tripod mounted camera and the Monoco Diplomat has a great ride, even across NYC. The only way I could make it better is to shoot with our steady cam rig mounted on the tripod and locked down with a pair of gyroscopes. it came out way better than I expected. I was just doing it for fun since I had to drive the route anyway.

No traffic on the Cross Bronx? Now that is a rarity.

Glad you know to take the upper level of the George Washington Bridge - back in 1998 I tried to take my Class C on the lower level (we call that level 'Martha'...) and they did not like the propane. I had to go through the Port Authority parking lot and loop around to the upper level.

Next time through take the Lincoln Tunnel - that would be a cool video!

Amen! That drive through LA can often be a white knuckle ride.

Why is everyone going so fast? I thought you were going to crash a couple of times there!
COOL!

at least in LA the lanes are wider than the trucks.

This is a 40 min travel time sped up to about 3 minutes. You can see the trip from NJ on I80 heading east to I95, across the GW bridge and the cross Bronx expressway up and around to the East tolls heading to CT. If you haven't done this ride, make sure you stay bolt everything down....

I do this trip a bunch of times every year.

cheers

This could be the beginning of a great thread, show us where you travel, record it on your phone or camera, could be very educational. This could even outdo the oxygenizer shower head thread. Time to get your camera ready.

That was an entertaining clip. We did the same route on a Saturday morning in June this past year and we had I think a tad more traffic. It's one of those areas where I get in a lane and stay in that lane as long as possible - kind of like thinking any lane change is an accident waiting to happen when driving the RV with the car attached.
