Views on Alfa See Ya???

It looks like I may have my RV sold and we're looking at DP's in the 2002 and up range.

I see several Alfa See Ya RV's on the market.

Any views on these? Good/Bad?

Our wish would be a 2001 or 2002 Monaco Windsor but tough to find in our price range I want to stick with of $45-$50,000.

Anybody got one they want to sell?

If you search here you'll find a few threads, and there's also a very active Yahoo group for Alfa owners.

We were also attracted to the high ceilings and pricing fo some Alfas, but in the end concerns about skin delamination and cooling (it blows cold up up from the floor, rather than down from the ceiling, unlike a Winnebago with basement air) had us looking elsewhere. Out Summit embodies many of the things we liked about the Alfa, and actually appears to use the same windshield glass!

I would suggest that you go to EBay and look up "Diesel Motorhomes"...I used to search there and I bought three coaches on Ebay. I don't think you'll have too much trouble finding your Monaco or something comparable in the year/price-range that you're looking for. You just need to be patient and make sure that you go inspect the coach before you buy it...!

We have friends that bought a brand new Alpha Smell Ya. They couldn't wait to get rid of it. t was a total piece of junk. I would continue looking. The Alphas are cheap for a reason.

My dad has owned an Alfa See Ya for a couple years now. He's in the process of trading, selling, giving it away. He's had a number of motorhomes and has found this one to be junk. He has continuously had to fix things since he bought it. Usually nothing simple or inexpensive. He is meticulous in the care and maintenance of his vehicles so it's not an issue of it being taken care of or neglected. It doesn't sit so it's not an issue of non use. When parked it's always been parked under an rv carport out of the weather. Straight from him, he says these are one of the worst motorhomes that he knows of. In addition, Alfa went out of business approx. 2008. My 2 cents, please don't consider buying one of these.
