kustom- no problem with the slides as far as replacing carpet with the tiles. However in my case I removed the existing ceramic tile in the kitchen/hall/bath and that does become more involved.

Slide in mine works fine however you must keep to clean. Had a rock catch and create a scratch . Had a tile left to replace it .

Great looking job. I will someday get enough time to tear out my carpet and replace with tile or manufactured wood.
