If you have access to a chassis lift, you can avoid having to empty the tank. Put blocking/cribbage between tank and floor. Take off tank straps and any thing else connecting fuel tank to coach. Raise coach with chassis lift.
That's a pretty smart idea! I wouldn't have thought of that. I'm wondering if it could be lifted off the tank with the hydraulic leveling system, and then held up with jackstands (beefy ones).

Go to Harbor freight and buy a fuel pressure regulator. Fuel pressure at the rail should be 50-60 psi. If the pressure is low, there are only 3 things that cause this. The fuel pump in the tank, the in line fuel filter. and the pressure regulator. ( this seldom goes out). Also check to see if there are any codes at the OBDII connector. If low pressure be prepared to drop the tank. Also be prepared for sticker shock for the fuel pump. Approx $500.00 when your in the middle of nowhere from NAPA. The guy that changed mine only charged for the time involved---2 hours.

The fuel filter doesn't have a pressure regulator in it that I can tell. I replaced it and it looked like a standard can-type filter. In and out ports, but a little bigger than fuel filters I've had on smaller engines.

Had the same thing happen to me coming down Baker grade at 3:00AM on time. Never happened again after that. I got a low power mode message on the D.I.C. and check engine light illuminated. Coasted into Baker, disconnected the positive battery cable, had a cup of coffee. Put the cable back on and it started right up. Problem solved.
