Waiting for parts

didn't seem like any big deal when the cab air conditioner quit 5 days ago. We were in the UP of Michigan and it was cool. However headed home south of GreenBay the engine overheated and we lost power. Dave found coolant ok, but a shredded serpentine belt. We were able to let MH cool, drive 3-4 mi til it started to heat up, pull of interstate and let it cool for 30-45 min and then repeat process til we got t NElson truck repair in Manitowoc, Wi. Now waiting for parts from 3 different states to come in. Parked O/N at trustee Walmart. Now in lot at repair waiting for parts and praying they are correct. An Adventure we had not planned on. but we are safe. Hoping black water tank will not become full before we can get underway!

We had a similar experience last year. We got 3 days on our onboard facilities and then had to move to a motel for an additional 5 days for a total of 8 days. Thank goodness for Red Roof Inns as we have 3 furry children.

It sounds like it's just a belt failure. Hopefully they can get you back on the road soon. Good luck and let us know the outcome.

Good idea to carry an extra belt and extra spare tire (sans rim)

Back on road. Nelson Trucking and equipment service in Manitowoc, Wi had us up and going in just a little over 24 hours. Parts o/n in from 3 states. A/C compressor, serpentine belt, recharged A/C, checked over engine. Manager Keith and mechanic Larry went above and beyond. Made us drivable so we could o/n at Walmart mile down road. Took great care of us. Highly recommend!
