Warning about united shades.

Their shades are good quality but BE AWARE they take a valance of 3 inches deep. They will not fit into a Fleetwood motor home which has a valance depth of 2 inches. They advertise fits all RV's it doesn't. These are also sold through blinds chalet. We bought these because their were said to fit and there is no where they state it must have a valance depth of 3 inches, only window width and length. Guess what no returns. Save your $$$

I replaced my day/nite shades at each end of my slide out with only 2 1/2 inches room inside the valance and they fit fine although 2 inches would be tight. What kind of shades were on it? I'm not sure about the quality though. One of the strings frayed and broke after a few weeks. I restrung it and found they didn't use the nylon inserts in the metal frames. They are instead a metal pressed in bushing which had a sharp edge. Maybe some kind of fabric covered spacer could be used. I think they do that with some of the fancy roller shades that need more space.

Sorry forgot they are the roller shades and seem sturdy.
