I have a kenmore apartment sized washer and dryer (seperate units tho can be had as one piece unit) in my 5er. My preference but also depends on amount of room available

Splendide yes, combo no. Stacked Ariston model washer and dryer, you won't be sorry.

2X

DW would have me sleeping in the rear bottom basement compartment if I tried to talk her out of her Ariston washer and dryer

Unless you have room (and willing to use it) for a stackable I too suggest Splendide. With a stackable, there are a few other options for larger capacity and faster drying.

The Splendide is hard to beat. We have friends that have had one 15 years and over 200k...still going strong with no problems. We are on our second...no problems.

We too have the Spendide Combo and have found that if you stop the dry cycle before complete with the clothes still slightly damp, shake them out and hang them up to finish drying, it reduces the wrinkles.

The 2 piece separate units are much better if you have or can make the space.

I have a stacked washer and dryer. It's nice to be able to wash and dry at the same time and I have no complaints with either. If you need the space get the combo. And be sure to get the vented model.

We had a Splendide 2100XC installed last May by Camperland in Burlington, Wa. We added the drain tray plus outside venting. We drove all across Canada and then clockwise around the States. We were gone for four months, drove over 12,000 miles. We used the washer/dryer on average about once per week. The unit worked just fine for the entire trip. My wife says that she loves the convenience compared to the first 3 years using camp ground units. The secret is not to over load the washer.
