I tend to agree but am concerned about the effects of chlorine on any metal surface or the paint.

Mix it with water.
Do not use it straight!
Don't let it dry!
7 to 1 works just fine, if you are not comfortable with that ratio cut it some more.

Use a chlorinated product
I have been in the fire and flood restoration and reconstruction business for a lot of years and our company specializes in mold removal and remediation.
Do not use chlorine bleach as such, but use a clinging bathroom tile cleaner. They are at a ratio that will not harm your painted surfaces, but will clean and remediate the mold. The beauty of these products is they stay where they are sprayed and are safer to use than a liquid bleach. Just my thoughts, based upon experience.

Barb, like you I'm also in FL, the mold capital. If you have black mold then chlorine is about the only thing that will kill it. The folks that power wash homes here use the same thing only a stronger ratio. If it is the green stuff most household mold removers should move it.
What ever you use keep it wet and you'll be fine.

Hi Barb,
I would go with placing a call to Winnebago and ask them what products that were mentioned would bother the paint, decals or plastic.
My preference might be the hydogen peroxide solution or the stuff that they use to clean bathroom tiles although that may be an abrasive and would ruin the paint. You might even try to bleach solution that is heavily diluted but call Winne for sure first. after whatever works I would wax the area for sure.

Tom, I called Winnebago today. He had little to offer. Suggested a compound or wax first and then a dilute solution in a test spot if necessary. I went out today to look for a spot to try and now I can't find any. Since it's dry, it's not there anymore. We will be waxing it anyway.

I sprayed plain old white vinegar on my clean awning, let it dry, rolled it up for the winter.
When we had nice dry days during spring I opened the awning to let it dry out in case it was wet and there was no mold. Now after every washing I spray it with vinegar & have no mold problems.

An acidic toilet bowl cleaner like SnoBowl is what gets it off boat hulls. Just a stronger version of vinegar. And with that suggestion, I think we have covered the whole gamut of products. Wait, no one has suggested WD40 or duct tape yet...
