Water heater bypass valves

In my 1999 Airstream Land Yacht 355XL the water heater bypass valves leaked some antifreeze into the WH last year. I think one valve is no longer sealing. They are way back under the counter in the corner of an "L" and I can barely reach them. To replace the valves I will have to remove the counter top or the cabinet fronts. Has anyone done something like this? How are counter tops attached? Likewise cabinet fronts? Looking for any advice you have.

FWIW would it be easier to pull the WH from the outside? Any way you slice it the job will be a PITA. The one thing that will help is Shark Bite type valves will not need the crimp rings. Much easier. Good luck!

Since you can't pull the heater without disconnecting the water lines (and the wiring too), I don't see how the outside approach can really help. Unless there is a lot of slack in the lines, and that was never the case in any of the several RVs we have owned.

Cabinetry is rarely complicated in RVs, but you will just have to crawl under them to see where the screws are located. PITA, but probably not complex.
