Water pressure
Just wondering what water pressure is the optimum for the water lines while still having enough water pressure to take a decent shower?
Thank you for the support

Following! Good question. My typical reading is 40-48 lbs....at any hookup so far. Cold water press is good, hot water NOT! If tgeree us an optimum water pressure...where or how to get it!

Hi Terry! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!
We use a 55 PSI regulator and love the pressure! Keep her between the ditches!
Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

I never use city water hookup
Always use our on-board pump/fresh water tank.
Pump has a 50PSI discharge
Removed ALL flow restrictors in faucets/shower (small metered disc inside aerators and then meter tube inside the hose going to shower handle)
Also do not have any check valves on water heater......3 valve system instead.
Water flow/pressure is constant regardless of where we go.

Pressure is good but without volume not so good. That’s why a watts residential regulator works very well.

I use a pressure regulator and have it set for 55 psi. A water restrictor makes for a bad shower.

My regulator is typically set at 60 psi. Never an issue and great pressure.

My pressure is set to 45 PSI. But when operating on pump pressure alone my flow was slow. The pump cycled very slowly. I adjusted the pump so that it runs continuously when the faucet is on high. We now have plenty of flow at all outlets.

I have my Renator adjustable pressure regulator set on approximately 58 psi and gives me good pressure at facets and shower. The park we are in now has 70 to 80 psi depending on the time of day. I could probably set the pressure lower if I didn't have the blue Camco water filter right after the regulator on the outside facet then the on board filter inside the wet bay.

Mine is set for 45 psi. Not quite enough so will try 50 and maybe 55 but no higher. Favorite park has 120 psi so a regulator is necessary.

Our water pressure runs 55 PSI on both pump and city water. I have a residential Watts water pressure regulator built into the RV on the city connection. Never worry about high park water pressure. Those cheap "pressure regulators sold in most RV stores are really water restrictors. They do drop the pressure but also greatly reduce the volume.
