Water Pump

Dumb question I know but should I use the water pump when I'm connected to City water? or is it for drawing from the tank only.my Fleetwood Bounder has water pump switches wherever there are faucets.

You don't need to use the water pump when you are connected to city water. I've heard that some people leave it on to "add additional pressure" but that's not the way it works in my coach. If I turn on the pump while connected to city water it never runs, even when the shower is going full tilt. I suppose it might kick in if the pressure dropped very low but that isn't normal with a city water connection.

Welcome to the forum... where there are no dumb questions.

You can leave the pump turned on while connected to city water if you like. It will kick on if your pressure drops below it's threshold and supplement your flow from city water by drawing water from your tank and bumping up the pressure a bit.

No problem either way. You just don't want to have it turned on when you're filling your fresh water tank since that causes an issue on many rigs.

Consider keeping life simple. Shore supplied water = pump off.

As said above your choice. I do need the pump on in my rig to fill and drain the fresh water tank. Yours may be different.
