Water Pump Location 2003 Newmar Kountry Star

Anyone have any idea where the water pump is on this model?

Keep Smiling,

I would look up in the bays beside the wet bay where sewer connections are. Also, run water to activate pump and let your ears guide you. All the best.

George,
Unfortunately the pump is not running which is the problem. I've searched all around the water/sewerage bays but no joy. Nice ride by the way, I'm jealous.
Keep Smiling,
Bob

Mine is two bays and wheel well away from the sewer bay. It is mounted up high, not easy to see looking straight in the storage bay door. It should be near your freshwater tank. Newmar can be helpful in times like these, just need your VIN number when you call them.

Gas or diesel? Mine is on the bay in front of the drivers side rear wheel. Look in the bay's near the water heater.

On my 06, which I just replaced, it on the left side of the wet bay mounted up behind the panel. You will have to remove the panel to get to it. Big PITA. Take a mirror and look up behind the panel and you'll see it. Hope I was of some help.

Water Pump Location 2003 Newmar Kountry Star

Thanks to everyone for their input. That little sucker seems to migrate around based on model and year. Soon as I bring my MH home again I'll check all the locations given. Guess it's hot enough now to begin pulling the rug and old flooring out. There will be a good time to be had, I love demolition. As we say in the Corps "Destroyed in twenty minutes or your next one is free".
Keep Smiling,
Bob

My 2004 kountry star pump is located in the same bay as the water and sewer connections just behind and above the sewer connection. Not the easiest place to reach but does come out fairly easy. You may want to check the fuses and there is a plug connector at the pump that can sometimes corrode. ..

hope that helps

2003 Newmar Kountry Star Water Pump Location Found

Well finally had the time to search for the pump and found it in the bay just forward of the left rear wheel well. I can understand now why I couldn't find it before... That bay door lock is broke and won't open. I had to look from the next bay up. Anyone have any idea how to open the bay, I tried from the bottom and from the inside but they did a very good job of hiding the latch. Is this one of those 'drillable moments'?

Keep Smiling,
Bob

If you can crawl in, remove the screws holding the latch together. The internals of the latches do come loose over time and mess up the way the latch works. I have found that removal, tightening the parts, and lubrication makes them work like new.

What vettenuts said, Bob. I had to do this recently myself. On mine, I removed the four screws holding the cover over the latching mechanism which gave me full access to its innards. Those things need lubed from time to time or else you end up where you are.

If you get on your back under door with a screw driver pry the wire latch around the door latch.
Below in my signature you will find links to many more for your Newmar, welcome to the family, enjoy and safe travels.

Finally got the bay unlatched by bending the end of a screwdriver to 90 degrees and pushing the latch up from the side this after a couple of hours screwing around with alternatives. Couldn't take the cover screws loose because only two were visible. At any rate the latch pivot is broken so I'll order a new assembly.

Made sure the water tank was full and turned on the water pump, it hums nicely but I don't get any water pressure when I disconnect the hose. Ran out of time today since I had to cut the grass. But I'll loosen the connection from the pump to the water tank to see if there is any pressure. I do notice that the pump runs continually which I would not regard as normal since it should pressurize the tank and then stop.

Keep Smiling,
Bob
