Question Waterpump replacement

My wife and I are the proud owners of a 2000 tradewinds 7350 with only 40,000 miles on it. We just purchased it and I am trying to catch up on the maintenance on it. I am replacing all of the radiator hoses, thermostats, belts and fluids. Common sense tells me to replace the waterpump also, but a friend of mine says they are normally good for at least 150,000 miles or more. Any experience/advice on this will be greatly appreciated.

I think you friend is correct. Just get some water pump lub at an auto parts place and and it to you radiator - it will help extend the bearing life.

If it like my 2000 tradewinds with a cat there is a grease fitting on the water pump.Getting to it is a little difficult.
