Weatherpro extend problem

I have a weatherpro awning that extends only a foot or two at a time , it does this with remote or manual switch. It retracts in one motion.

Before this it would not operate at all, I killed the power and unplugged the wind sensor and it finally operated but only a foot or two. The controller is the long one not the square box.

Any help would be appreciated

Try unplugging all connections on the control panel and to the motor and clean then treat with dielectric grease

My Weather Pro awnings always went out a couple of feet at a time until the batteries went dead. I liked it that way and want to make it work that way again. Weather Pro has been no help and I haven't found a tech that knows how to change it.

My advice if you want it to run all the way out without stopping is to disconnect the batteries for a few minutes and see what happens.

Weather Pro, Power Gear slides and AccuSlide slides all have one thing in common.. The type of controller.

There are no LIMIT switches,, instead the controller monitors motor current and if it climbs above a pre-set,, Shuts off, it's that simple

The motor is seeing too much load when extending.... Why can this be?

Too much tension on the counter spring would be my guess.

IF you know how to apply/remove tension Unwind the spring a turn or two

If you do not.. Find someone who does.. There is a lot of tension on that spring and a mistake can put you in hospital or worse.
