Weight distributing hitch with air suspension

I'm looking for some guidance in setting up the weight distributing hitch for towing a 24' enclosed trailer behind my NewAire. The trailer weight empty is about 3200 and the car I'm hauling is about 4000 which I need to confirm by scale, but figuring on positioning the car to provide about 700 tongue weight if my estimates are correct. The receiver lists 800/8000 with standard hitch and 1200/12000 with WD hitch. Newmar states the towing capacity as 8000. What is the standard way of setting the bars with a tow vehicle with air suspension? Is weighing axle weights before and after the only way to be sure?

I've never seen w.d. hitch used on a coach with air ride. In my circle of friends we all tow trailers with vehicles on them, none of us use them, or see a need to.

I towed a 26' enclosed trailer with a Jeep and various other supplies, tools, welder, etc for a total weight of 12,000# with 1500# tongue weight. I have a 15,000# hitch with a 1500# tongue weight capacity. For safety and stability, I used a WD hitch with sway control bars. It probably wasn't necessary, but I could tell the difference between having it and just using the dead weight hitch. It took the stress out of the dips in the road and was very stabil in any cross wind. I had 1200# load bars and I set them at a point where I'm guessing I took 300+# off of the ball. It worked great and I would do it again. Currently, the trailer I tow weighs 8,000# with 900# of tongue weight and I do not use the WD hitch, as the hitch and towing capacity is double the weight of the trailer.
