Welding on motorhome

What precautions if any would have to be taken to do some mig welding on the frame of my motorhome. Don't want to fry any electronics.

I would grind off a spot close to the weld area for the ground clamp and weld away.

The only time you will have problems is if the ground is not on the weld area and its place is not cleaned down to metal. A bad ground and a ground far away from what is being welded is what causes problems. I never have disconnected nothing, but always made sure my ground was right on the weld area.

all correct answers.but seeing as you are dealing with very expensive hi tech electronics..part of the total weld job would be to isolate All possibilities to prevent any problems....1 Disconnect batteries..2 establish a good ground close as practical to the work area...3 Cover or remove all flammable materials...4 have a 2nd person on hand for a fire watch..5 Do not attach ground clamp where there are wheel bearings or steering joints that could be compromised by the welding process..6 Do NOT weld around or on the gas tank!...
