I had this same thing happen a couple of years ago. I was on Craigs List, don't know how I cam across this travel trailer but there it was, a 2007 26, or 27 foot travel trailer, clean as a whistle and the guy wanted $3200 for it. I called real quick, wasn't even looking for a travel trailer, but agreed to go look at it as it was only a few miles away. I looked at it and could not find a single thing wrong with it, it was absolutely perfect condition. I bought it, took it to a park and set it up. We stayed there for 3 weeks, worked out of it instead of going to the office, it was wonderful. I brought it home, listed it for $4800 and it was sold within the first hour of listing it.

As far as finding our perfect MH? This was our perfect MH.......... My wife even waked bare foot on the hardwood floors, something she would never do in any of the other MH's that we looked at. This one drove great and was appointed perfectly for us............

But $5500 fit better in my pocket..........

Theres other MH out there, we'll find another, and if someone wants to pay me more than I paid for it again..... I will sell it too.

Now that you know what you want, you should be able to find the same closer to home using the computer.

State tax in NC on reg is only 2.3% ($488) for complete registration cost including special Smokey Mountain Plate.

We run a couple small businesses so Taxes come as no surprise to us........ story of our life......

Now that you know what you want and whats it worth to you, it should be a simple matter to find another on the internet. You can use your profits to fly to the next place and enjoy the drive home again.

Not quite Mark...Buying and selling motorhomes is kind of a sideline job for me. (I'm retired) The wife and I are always looking for a good deal on Motorhomes. We have been across the country several times to buy Coaches. Almost always make a profit and have a nice vacation trip while doing it. Lost my butt on the last one though. Ended up costing me about $9000. over what I paid for it. Oh well, win some, lose some...we still had a lot of fun last summer.

If you search for and only buy great deals (buying older ones helps too), it's not that hard. I bought our 4th mh last fall and while I haven't sold the 3rd one yet (will be doing it in the spring), it's shouldn't be a problem selling it for a profit so I'll have made a profit on each one I've sold.
