So you've never bought a new vehicle in the fall?

Most 'new model' chassis are introduced early.

Yeah. My 08 Bounder was built in June 07 and FW calls it an 08 ,but the Ford chassis was built in April 07 and Ford considers the chassis an 07.

After reading several threads like this one, I made a point of checking our build dates. I verified everything, including the tires.

Take a look at your Ford manual and see what they call the chassis. For yukes.

There were 2013 models of some mfg. at the Jan 2012 Tampa Super Show. I doubt if those chassis were stamped 2013. They were mfg in 2011.

The chassis manual is in the moho across town. However, my recall letter from FoMoCo dated March 2012 says, "2012 Motorhome Chassis Safety Recall Notice 12S27." Will that do?

Nice try. This recall was for 2011 and 2012. Ford Recalling Certain F53 Motorhome Chassis

I'm aware of that. However our chassis is a 2012. From Ford's website "VIN Decoder",

I have in the past , when I bought it and it's an
07 chassis. The warr. Went into effect in July of 08 when it was sold to the first owner so its only a number but can be important when servicing if there was any spec changes from year to year.
