Wet-n-forget mold mildew killer works pretty well on awnings.

Seeing little dark specs in between awning weave , I decided to try to kill off anything bio . So I mixed per instruction and sprayed with garden sprayer rolled up to soak for a day. The
A &E window awnings look so much better after a few rains and sun exposure. The newer to coach Carefree One touch main awning looks better but hasn't got rained on as much. I'll give them a good cleaning next. But wanted to kill of any mildew first.
With all the new water repellents any suggestions.

I've used Wet and Forget around the house and on the pool screens. Works pretty well but I think your use for it on awnings is a great idea.
Thanks for the tip!

As it ran off the big awning I just caught it in a bucket. I wish I sprayed the underside of big awning it was hard to get wet enough to get both sides wet on the roll up like the window ones.
I wouldn't confuse it with a good cleaning\oxyclean\ whatever your method.

Although I have never used WET-N FORGET on the awning, (good idea) I use it every year at home, office and hunting camp. That stuff is great. Costco has it every spring at a super price.
Their YouTube videos show some of the uses and it works as advertised.
