Wedding Anniversary Trip

We did some last minute trip "planning" for a trip to celebrate our 31st anniversary (which was Thursday thr 26th). Headed out from Indianapolis (away from the 500 race crowd) the Allegany State Park in New York. The DW picked this spot and with no campsites to be had, we just went. Spent Friday night boondocking in a Cracker Barrel parking lot outside of Columbus OH. Drove on to the park on Saturday. The rec area was almost vacant! Grilled some burgers and biked around the lake and snapped pictures. Then the rains came. We drove out about 17 miles and boondocked in a truck lot in back of a 7-11 we saw that had a great view. Went back to the lake to kayak Sunday morning until the crowds came! We traveled through the length of the park, dumped our tanks and got fresh water and headed west for home. Boondocked at a TA truck stop on the way home to avoid the storms. Short trip but we had a great time! This is what we wanted a motor coach for...to travel whenever we wanted for just gas and groceries. Not to let it sit in the driveway except for 1-2 trips a year!
