what chassis confused

i was told by saleman i had workhorse chassis but my vin # is 1FCNF53S510A16405 ok what chassis , 2002 damon intruder with v10

The VIN tells me it's an F-53 Ford chassis v-10 is a ford only engine.BTW, never believe a salesman...

It's a Ford. Look on the steering wheel. It should look like this.

V10 is also a dead give away as to being a Ford.

I don't know about the VIN but only Ford uses (used) the V-10!

i thought so but i am new to class a thank you and but the way was this chassis involved in brake recall

As others had said, the chassis is a Ford chassis. The VIN indicates that it is a 2001 F53 chassis with a V10 and 4R100 transmission. 5:38 rear axle ratio with a build date of April 25, 2001. 22000LBS chassis with a 228 wheel base.

The Workhorse is the Chevrolet. You have Ford chassis.

VINs tell you a lot about the vehicle, The first two characters of his vin are 1F

The 1 means it was assembled in the USofA

The F is Ford and the "C" that follows it is the division of Ford.

In the old days I'd be able to tell you a whole lot more about that VIN just by inspection but alas, it's been 11 years since I read the book.
