What is causing the streaks on my windshield?

After a rain, we have streaks going down the windshield. The windshield was replaced when we bought the coach a year ago.

We have never cleaned the roof in our year of ownership.

Would that be the cause of the streaks? Or do I have larger problems?

When I start seeing streaks on my windshield I know it’s time to clean the top of the cab above the windshield up where the cab lights are.

Give it a good washing, and if it’s oxidized I’ll use a light buffing compound and then finish that off with Nu finish - gives it a nice clean shine and no more streaks.

I store my RV outdoors, so it’s a constant battle, but I usually do this 2 or 3 times a year, and the windshield doesn’t get streaks for 3 or 4 months, and then they start showing up again.

One other way is to get a strip of flexible J channel rain gutter and stick it on above the windshield. Works great.
