On my rig there is an electronic dash gauge which shows outside air temp and heading. It connects to a sensor near the front tires but not sure if this is what you're looking at.
Well, one is power I guess and see if the sensor has a serial number or code. That may help. I would imagine it has to be something straightforward like temperature which has been mentioned already.

The plug and the "kagigger" are at opposite ends of the same wire. There is no numbers or codes. Just the word "sensor".

If I had to guess.. I would say it is a temperature sensor for an electronic thermometer. However that coxial plug is normally used for POWER, that type of sensor usually uses a mono-1/8 inch headphone type jack.
However, no reason you might not use the power type sensor.. I mean the easier you make it for the owner to screw it up and blow the device, the more you sell.
