and ultimately, the forza driving might not be an issue for you at all! It depends on the types of trips you take, I would certainly ask some owners.

Reading up on them they have less water on board than my outlaw and look a little goofy anyway.

My buddy has a fleetwood excursion 35e that would be great with 2nd toilet :/

I know right? It's really hard to find the perfect blend! It's like you wish you reach and knuckle-head some of the "designers".

So what about using the coaches for beds? Not sure how old your kids are, but you could easily make tents over them from the cabinets overhead, and if they are young, they would love that.

The only bad thing about the Excursions is the lack of engine power - not a beast for sure.

I looked at the newmars/Dutchstars today at Tom Johnson's in concord (were camping infield at the race) and they are nicer coaches than most others I'd looked at. They make a "4312" that has bunks and 2 toilets but the floor plan looks crazy online.

Also looked at American Coach, don't really do anything for me.

I'm really rather disappointed that every RV I get in has a ridiculous interior. I'm 32 years old. I don't want something styled like its my grandmothers. My kids are 6 and 1. I'm pretty well set on the bunks and separate toilets. The 6 year old has already morning wood pissed in the cupboard above the toilet in the outlaw

Oddly enough the most contemporary interior we boarded today was the new retro Winnebago.

The more i look the more a renegade/sport hauler type of setup custom made for our direct needs makes sense :/

I totally agree. I wish more RV manufacturers would take a page from the Airstream book.

I think, ultimately, no RV will be 100% just right. I tried and tried and tried to find it - to no avail.

You might consider looking inside the newmar ventana - I think it's styling inside is better than the Dutchstar currently, and you save money to boot. IMO, only the Ventana Bordeaux interior is worth looking at. The wall paper has that luxury hotel feel with a little texture to it, the valences are ok, and the surfaces are good. The other two look like fake marble and would drive me batty in 2.5 seconds flat. Glad they kept Bordeaux for 2015.

I also wish the winnie brave had slides (maybe they do and I'm just wrong about that - i think one model has a single slide right?)

And everything you mentioned is why I simply chose to sit right here in my 2005. It works, it functions, it drives, it has it's blemishes, but hasn't failed us. I looked like crazy... why in the world would I lose money trading one ugly interior for another. My short list for a new RV is very short.... 07 08 Country Coach Intrigue, 14 15 Ventana, or 15 Entegra.... but I think I'll save my money and go fishing instead....

We've highly considered simply remodeling our bus - I have no idea where to start, but when there's a will....

Mricet, I continually hear people say they save a bundle by buying a slightly used rig. I'm not sure I understand what they are saying. If you buy new and you know how to negotiate you probably pay around 70% of the MSRP. I hardly see any late models where the owners are asking for less than 70% of their motorhome's MSRP, so where is this big savings coming from buying barely used rigs? Just trying to learn the lay of the land. Thanks.
