What is the best way to sell a Class A?

We plan to sell our 2005 Itasca Horizon motor home. I am seeking suggestions for the best place to advertise for sale. And, most importantly, what is the best web site for sales ads?

.........I would start with the classified site here on IRV2. As for other sites, www.rvsearch.com is a good site as well. Another is www.rvonline.com. I believe the market is coming back, especially on a good clean unit. Good luck and travel safe.

As Dave mentioned there are any number of web sites that are good. If you are going to sell it yourself you will need to price it right, somewhere slightly above dealer trade in and clean retail -10%, with all the tools at buyers disposel (the internet) most people looking at a coach like yours know what they are worth. I have sold 5 M/H's over the years and have one for sale now, it has been my exp most people will go to the dealer and pay more because it's one stop shopping, (financing, tag and title that you cannot provide) and they think the dealer will take care of them after the sale. So if you are going to sell it privately you need to price the coach at your best price, or you will be sitting on it for awhile. I have mine for sale at auction W/s and so far no calls, I don't think people are buying things that get 7-8 mpg and cost lots of $$$$ just yet. Good luck

I would advertise in as many places as possible. I decided to sell my motorhome last year and placed a small ad on the board at my mechanics shop. Before I did any more advertising I got a call and it was sold about one week after I placed the ad. I agree with bbeane that you need to price it fairly and have it in showroom condition. Good luck.

Sold our Bounder on Portland, OR CraigsList to a Canadian buyer who drove up from Santa Barbara, CA to look/buy.
When we were looking to buy we looked at CraigsList in all western states. Found what we wanted in Boise, ID.
As always, use common sense when dealing with long distance buyers. We did our final sale at our credit union so all knew the documents were correct & money had indeed changed hands.

I have had great luck selling ours on our local craig's list. Doesn't cost anything and people from all over called on it.

You can try and sell it yourself, but if it was me , I would call LEE from LEE's RV out in Oklahoma and have him sell it. If your lucky you might get it sold, but it isn't worth the hassel.

To answer the OP's question...everywhere. On line, Craig's list, Ebay, local paper...but the key...have it priced right. So many people have the price so high, nobody even calls.
