What is the meaning

English being my second language, I have difficulty understanding the meaning of following optional chassis feature on my 1997 Tour Master: ROLL OUT ENGINE means what and SPECIAL 300 HP FREIGHLINER CHASSIS means what, what is so special?

Thanks the IR2V community, I enjoy somuch reading it.

Roll out generally means that it is new for that year and model. Someone else may have a more definitive answer though.

As you probably know, English is full of adjectives, verbs and similar words to make RVs sound good. RV ads are full of words like...special, heavy duty, long term, extra, large, full length (full coverage...full anything), decorative, custom, centralized, polished, solid (hardwood, corian, surface, etc), exclusive, dual, automatic, powered, and more. The purpose is to make you think you are getting something "special."

Apparently, it's my second language too. The only thing I recognize is "Freightliner". I love this chassis. ROLL OUT I don't understand either. "SPECIAL 300" could mean anything as far as engines are concerned. Maybe someone with a Tour Master can help.

Since this is diesel pusher, frieghtliner chassis and cummins engine, I would repost this In the Frieghtliner and/or the Cummins Engine forum. If there is anything "special" about a 1997, someone there will know. That Gulfsteam is a very nice coach.

My guess is that for 1997 a 300 hp engine was pretty big in a MH. That's probably what made it "special".

Thanks to all, after contacting Freighliner and Gulf Stream, ROLL OUT ENGINE means it was an improved, revised 300 HP engine with better fuel consumption and a better torque and what makes it so SPECIAL was, this was the last engine being mechanical, non electronic 6c8.3 300 HP and also specialy designed for Motorhome in 1996. The 300 HP was chosen over the 330 HP at that time in 1996. Again Thanks to everyone.
