Most were on Dodge chassis. Nobody knew much (or cared?) about how to make them handle properly. Probably severely underpowered with a 318. Most early ones were (just like others in this day). The coach parts built by Travco were reasonably well done - sturdy.

It's a 1963 Travco on a Dodge frame. 318 motor that still runs and "beautiful" gold shag carpeting. Last liscensed in 1984 (plates are still on it) and it has a parking pass that year from the Illinois state fair. Has all the paperwork including the original sales slip.
Not for sale but the gentleman that owns it is getting ready to restore it. He's very good at this and one of his plans is replacing the worn out 318 with a Cummins diesel. He said he was looking forward to the time when he could pull up alongside an expensive rig and "blow their doors off". He's 70 and going strong.

Thought you all might get a chuckle out of this.
