Well, apparently, I am not able to attach the photo.

There was some sort of tower between the drivers chair & the passengers chair.

I will try later to post a picture of it.

Without seeing a photo, this is a wild guess but our friends have a removable table between the two front seats in their motor home.

This is a Soviet MIRV-Six, from
an SS-22N launch vehicle. The
warhead contains 14.5 kilos of
enriched uranium, with a
plutonium trigger. The nominal
yield is 10 kilotons.

Being an old sub sailor I immediately knew what it was from your description. I've never seen a conning tower in an RV before but it's a great idea!

All your roof penetrations in one place. Snorkel mast, radio and nav, periscopes. Great place to get a view of traffic ahead and to check for clearance on those low bridges....Click image for larger version
