What kind of creature is this?

...it's some kind of satellite dish but who knows the make/model of it? Just bought the coach and miles of cables everywhere and nothing works.

Just wondering if it works.

Thanks!

Pic still absent. I think you'll receive more responses if you request a moderator move your post to the technology forum.

Picture not needed. If you think it is satellite dish, it must be. It is either mounted on top or portable. Almost any neighbor at a campsite will show you the operation. Enjoy it. Jerry SFC (Ret)

Dome type satellite dish, most won't receive HD and if it's anything like mine , it won't work on a rainy day.

It looks similar to my KVH5 Auto tracking satellite dish on my 2008 Beaver.

Take the cover off and look for a make/model numbers. Then search for the users manual. The dome needs to be matched to the satellite service you choose and normally there are dip switches inside the dome that be set accordingly.

To work it will need to be directly connected to the receiver via coax and it will need 12VDC to power the motors. Also it will need a clear line of sight to the service providers satellite. No trees, building, mountains or such in the way.
