Hadley air horns for us.

I have the original manufactures little beep-beep steering wheel horn. But it bring to mind a story. When staying at Beudrey's in Tucson we decided to look at a Bounder diesel. The nice salesman, who probably never saw a MH before this job and never camped in one, took us for a test drive. While tooling down the I-10 he reached over my shoulder and sounded the horn...saying something like "how about that diesel truck horn?" My response was something like; "in 25 years of motorhoming I don't ever remember using the horn"!!!! We didn't purchase the Bounder.
Truly, I don't use the horn. I scream a whole bunch, but the windows are up, so it is just to vent.

Airhorns, and I am ashamed to admit that I have the urge to blow them. Especially at intersections. :-)

I live in California and we have a lot of [ moderator edit ]people who cannot drive. They don't look, wait or abide by any rules. They just go.

As a professional driver for UPS and also a RV owner getting someones attention at a intersection is a must if they could pull out in front of you and cause a accident. Ya know heavy equipment does not stop on a dime. Better to better safe then have someone get killed in a accident!

I do think air horns are the better way to go especially living in California. I still have the origonal beep beeps but air horns are on the must do list.

When you are from Jersey, you need three horns:
1. wimpy horn for 'hi, how are you'
2. Air horn for 'get the @#$@ out of my way!'
3. Train horn for a bowel cleaning burst of sound that wakes up even the most idiotic driver.
Must be a coastal thing because I only seem to use my horns on I-95 and I-5!

Well now................
I drive at about 62 MPH in the right hand lane on the interstates. The problem that concerns me is that when there are vehicles in the lane next to me and a merging lane to the right of me. There are some very inattentive drivers coming on the interstate that do not seem to know how to properly merge , or perhaps they are somewhat asleep. The air horn tends to wake them from their cocoon of inattentiveness

Hadley air horn, plus standard old style horn...The first push of the button is standard horn, push again the Hadley gets their attention.
