I am almost certain that all HRs do NOT have an aluminum roof. So I would verify what year and particular model had that feature before I banked on such a proposition. I thought post-Monaco, or even before, they used fiberglass. The old brochures are on their website so you can verify.

I believe all Newell coaches are still made with an aluminum roof. Subject to verification I believe they are single sheets of aluminum.

Hope this helps.

Monaco Diplomat had an aluminum roof up through 2005. The HR's would probably be the same.

Our Holiday Rambler Endeavor had the aluminum roof and we had a hail storm to prove it.

I had an 98 vacationer with an aluminum roof also.

IMHO the aluminum roofs of the early Holiday ramblers and Monaco products of that vintage were the best roofs you could get.

I'm pretty sure that your 2002 Journey has a fiberglass roof, as most (all?) Winnebago's have had for many years. Here's the 2002 Journey Brochure.

Our '91 Holiday Rambler has an aluminum roof. I prefer it over EPDM.
