My speed in the MH is around 62 MPH with or without the toad. Now if your talking my personal car then I'm usually 7 to 9 MPH above the posted interstate speed limit.

I do almost everything fast and the MH is my therapy. Since I've now retired my DW tells me I need to slow things down. Time to smell the roses!

It really depends on where we are going and how quickly DW wants to get there. :-) I like to drive 62 - 64, so I set the GPS so she cannot see it and then drive the speed that I want. When she says that we are poking along, I speed up to 65 for awhile and then go back to "my" speed. ;-)

I keep the cruise control at 64 mph. If not this baby rides so smooth she'll get away from me ,I'll look at the speedometer and i'm doing 80

On the interstate, between urban high traffic areas, the motorhome cruise is set on 62-63, the same road in the car, 80. Last weekend, on the PA Turnpike we passed at least 4 State Troopers with radar guns aimed right at us. We got no reaction from them at all.

I drive the speed limit except in TX where the speed limit on parts of I-10 is 80. If the speed limit is 75 I set the cruise to 75. 70? Usually 72. 65? Usually 67ish. 60? Around 65 and 55 I set to 62. When I have to crawl along at 55 my wife has to keep a very close eye on me as I very well might fall asleep due to boredom.

With no toad which is rare, at least the speed limit and mostly 5 over 60,65,70,75, at 70 around 1700rpm rides like a cadillac. In my car it's set around 90 just in case someone cares to start a new thread about speed.

Fast as the law allows

We have a 37' class A on a Workhorse, heard horror stories about 5.5 MPG well I took our first real trip 600 miles each way to Tenn. Hills Hills Hills drove the speed limit normally aroud 70 maybe 72. Got 8.4 MPG check scan guage to fill ups. can't imagine going 55 would get better MPG than that and 1 MPG extra would not lighten my toe anyway. ONLY saftey for my family and fellow drivers would. When my speed affects that then I slow down..

If I only weight 10 tons I might slow down. It seems no one goes the same they drive what ever they feel comfortable and not all MH handle and ride the same 65 - 70 maybe 75 on a long down hill or ride the brakes which I don't works well for me.

I like 100kpm or 62mph, as that is the legal speed limit on most highways here in Canada. I don't have any problem being the "slower guy" that might just inconvenience speeders. If I am doing the speed limit and they want to fly by me, then doing that is their problem.
