Picking the state with the worst roads is like picking between Trump and Hillary. They all have their bad side, in this case roads. Just finished a coast to coast trip in my MH in July. Found that most of the roads are in very good condition. Idaho had a bad stretch between Yellowstone and Idaho Falls that the ruts in the pavement were so deep it was hard to steer out of them. In there defense the rest of the road system in Idaho was in great shape. Wyoming has great roads. Nevada also has great interstate system. I-80 through Sacramento was terrible. New Mexico and Arizona had great roads. Even Arkansas had nice roads. We were on a lot of secondary roads there and found them to be in great shape. My pick for best road, not necessarily the best state, would be Hwy 26 between Alpine Wyoming and Jackson Wyoming. Not only was it a nice wide, smooth two lane highway, it was also very beautiful. Now that Trump, Clinton thing, LOL...

After a 11,400 mile trip across Canada and through Alaska I will never complain about poor roads here in the lower 48.

Ditto! As soon as I hit a state line in any direction out of Louisiana, the roads smooth out!

We've done about 4500 miles this summer, and the worst section of road we had to suffer on was around Janesville, WI which we actually found quite humorous since it is the home of Paul Ryan........

Oh, they are working in it, but it a mess at this point in time, but it seems to us that ol Paul could have gotten a few bucks earmarked for his home town years ago........ But then again, ok, I'll stop now.

Lived and grew up on LI NY and retired to Port Orange FL in 2004. Thought NY roads were bad back then but just went to NY in our car and OMG potholes that will ruin a tire in a heart beat. If you think they can't get worse just wait a year.
In Florida the roads are always maintained to the point of why did they repave that again. All vehicles last longer here in Fl.

Alaska and Yukon. Run the Top of the World and/or Dalton then come back and beg to drive the admittedly awful roads around Indy.

During the winter, New Mexico.

I don't think they realize that SALT was invented to help remove ice....

During the summer, I was going to say Ohio. But after thinking about it, there are no roads in Ohio in the summer. All they have are orange barrels..

It won't do MACH 2, but I can get a sandwich and take a pee.

Florida is looking pretty good. As long as you stay away from Ft Lauderdale and south on 95.
But then again most of you there snowbirds know about our good roads as there are so many who come and visit in the winter (soon enough to be one myself)

It is time for many politicians to start spending our money on public infrastructure and stop giving grants and tax breaks to successful businesses. If they did our roads would be in wonderful condition and we would have many successful construction companies in place of professional teams.
