What's it worth?

Considering purchasing a 2001 newmar mountain aire model 4095 with 89000 mi. Excellent condition inside and out. Cummins 350, cherry cabinetry, brite tex roof, tires ok. Owner asking 80k neg. Generator has 1250 hrs. Owner has records. Figure it will lose 10k value when it hits 100k miles.

Look on RV trader. There are 4 on there with much less mileage ranging from $59.000 to $78,000. I would think the price is at least 20,000 too high

Check Car Price, Used Car Value, Book Value | NADAguides | NADA Price Value, NADA Book Value, Specs, NADA Trade In Value & Vehicle Pricing | NADA Book Price & Car Cost Guides | NADA Car Value, Car Book Appraisal Value, Owner Costs, NADA Auto Value Appraisa. In this market, they are going for Low Retail with no options added. So it sounds high to me. The owner probably added all the options, even the ones that are standard and used high retail.

A diesel does not drop in value like like a gasoline engine with 100,000 miles.

Also, the tire may look good, but check the date codes. If they are over 5 years old plan to replace soon. If over 7 years, they need to be replaced NOW.
