62/63, reasonable fuel mileage, gets the Allison in 6th gear, and a much more relaxing driving experience than 70.

62 to 65 MPH. I get the best MPG at these speeds.

60 - 65 seems to yield the best mileage. I like to see the mileage over the 9.

Depends on how steep the hill is but the Cruise Control is usually set at 55-60, no more.. If it's over 60 I'm either passing someone or going down a serious hill.

some interesting numbers.
On the US highways and interstates I drive on, going anything less than 70 is just asking to become a hood ornament on a peterbilt.
Even on the 2 lanes, grandmothers in minivans are passing me around corners at those speeds.
70 to 75 for me, in the right hand lane on a 4 lane in the country, the center on a six lane in the city keeps me out of the entrance / exit drama.
My knight gives me better mileage at the higher speed too.
All the way up to 7 running at 75, from 6.0 at 60.

Underneath my house on wheels is an 11-ton Ford truck, so I stick to the truck speed limits.

60 mph on interstate and maximum of 65 mph on rolling down hills, over 65 mph and the Honda will disintegrate. Poof! At 60 I like to see the gassers puff up their chests as they pass. Too cool.
7 - 8 mpg.

I just drove the length of California twice at 55 mph---it's the law towing----and they are inforcing the law much to the chagrin of some fellow RV'rs. I found it enjoyable. I avoid freeways as much as practical-----pull out when safe, frequently. Other states 62 is a good speed. Life is good.

I drive the 62-65 range also. I got those number by hanging around these forums and listening to what you gals and fellas with a lot of experience have posted about fuel mileage. I have a 40 footer with a Cat 3126E motor. At 62-65 I am about 1650 rpm and seem to be getting right at 10 mpg when towing a 4,200 toad. I also use Econo mode on the transmission. We are heading out to north Georgia in about 10 days. I am interested to see how the DP operates in the mountains. After Georgia we will to to Charleston, SC for a few days.

WE also drive in the 60 to 65 mile range. Our mh has a 500 cummins but fuel millage is not really the issue. Getting there safe as possible is. I love the USA and all it has to offer , I want to see it all so if I have to cut back some other place to pay for the high fuel then so be it. Also back to what speed we drive, I had a blow out on a steering tire, and it was only 1 year old, and properly inflated thiry minutes earlier. Boy did that get my attention about speed. I was only going about 65 and it was all I could to keep it out of the bar ditch. I and a stocky sort of a fella and it was touch a go to hold on to the steering wheel. I am not comftorable with speed now especially with cars not trucks, blowing by just to cut in front and slow down or turn off!!
