Where do you carry a gun in your RV?
In front while sleeping in back is not good, in back if you need it during the day is no good. Near the main door maybe too easily found. This is our first hand gun, mostly bought it for the wild critters in our semi-remote home. But some "critters" along the road may need correction...

Strange thing happened to my neighor @ Virginia Beach. He was a cop with 22 yrs and left his service revolver in his pickup one night without locking the pickup. Next morning, revolver was gone. Try to explain that to your captain.

which one, the sawed off shot gun in along side the bed, the Beretta 9m is in the night stand, and the tiny 9m in my pocket

380 always in me pocket. DW carries a S&W 38 Titanium and keeps it on the night stand. When out and about, a 40 cal Glock in shoulder holster and by the bed at night.

Right where it needs to be. Where the intruder can hear the bolt close when the shell is loading.

I never talk about what or where or even if I carry protection, Always "the element of surprise" has to on your side. If not within reach at all times you have lost your most valuable element to correct a problem.  And when it comes it happens way faster than a person can comprehend and taking valuable seconds of what is going on especially if you were sleeping!

Riot gun 18'' in the rear, SW 357 rear, 9 in the front, for target shooting Ruger hunter, and a 10/22 rifle. Shooting in the AZ desert, great fun.  Permit to carry weapons.

To carry or not to carry.
You must carry your weapon in accordance with the State law of the State you are traveling through. Some require separation of the ammunition from the weapon itself. Some require that it be locked. Some require that it be out of reach. That is only if you want to be legal. So where you carry it is a decision that you alone have to make.
I'm licensed to carry. I have to be careful if I'm going to stay at military reservations as many do not allow any firearm.
Please ask yourself this. Can you pull the trigger?
I know many of you can. I really know I can. If you cannot answer "Yes I can," then you don't need to carry - and it is not just one of those questions that can be answered unless you have the training, or you have been in special circumstances before.
Just about any military person that has been in a ground conflict situation can pull the trigger. They have done it before. It is not something to be taken lightly. It requires a mental attitude and training.
And for those that suffer from PTSD - you really need to be careful. You most likely have awakened in the middle of the night to find yourself in strange places in the house you were trying to escape from. Having a weapon nearby may be a disaster just waiting to happen. PTSD sufferers can grab items and use them without realizing they are doing it.
