Where to attach outdoor LED strip lights
I’d like to get some advice on how and where to attach LED strip lights that will illuminate the area below my awning.
I attached a sun screen to my awning which I think will block the lighting from the LED strip lights if the LED strip lights are attached to the outside of the screen. See the first picture.
I don’t think there is enough room to attach it on the inside of the screen and it would point the lights up, see the second picture.
Attaching to the side of the coach below the awning seems like a good option but I don’t want to make it an eye sore. I was wondering if I could attach the LED strip lights on the awning cover between the ridges, see picture 3. I’m concerned the awning my not retract completely if attached here. This I think would be a good option if it could be done correctly.
The last option would be to attach the lights to the side of the coach just below the topper awning. This location I’m concerned would make it look like an jury rigged job unless I could find a channel to put the lights in and make it look something more like OEM, picture 4.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I just installed the LED strip on my coach under the awning on the side of the coach. The one I bought from Amazon had plastic channels and looks original for the most part. I don't have a pic but the only non original look was where I penetrated the side of the coach. I just drilled a small hole and filled with Lexan. Really does look good, I was surprised.

Thanks Jerry, could you snap a couple of pics, perhaps one close up and one from a slight distance?

Tim, this is what I did. Maybe it will give you some ideas. The strip on the slide-out is under the main awning when it is extended.

My first installation was on the awning roller. It worked great, but I had to plug it in each time I unrolled my awing, and unplug it when I rolled the awing up. The other downside is that it could ONLY be used when the awing was out. On my new MH, I am installing the strip on the side of the MH just under the awing this time so that it is always wired and so that it can be used with the awing rolled up as well.

Thanks everyone for the feedback and pictures. I decided I'm going to install the LED strip below the topper on my curb side slide in an aluminum track. My biggest challenge is finding power. I have the LED's already, they work on 12v or 120v.
I believe in Joe's link he said he used 120 volt acquired from inside a kitchen cabinet. I'm not crazy about drilling into the side of the coach, so will have to do some measuring and investigating before I start the install. Perhaps a hole tucked under the awning or as close to under the awning as I can get and the wire going through a grommet won't look too bad.
Incidentally, in doing the research on LED strips some cheap strips have had complaints about the 120 volt power supply melting and creating a fire hazard. The LED strip I purchased is one of those so I will be looking for a power supply if I decide to use 120v.

I recommend wiring directly into your 12v; no need for a 120vac adapter/pwr supply. Otherwise you will need hookups, generator, or inverter to use them. 12v is easy, low current, and safe.

I have a blue colored strip under the passenger side of the coach and a white strip under the edge of both slide outs on the passenger side. I had my dealer install them. I have considered adding a strip to the end of the Paramount awnings too, but just haven't gotten to it yet.

I installed LED strips under the two slides on the passenger side. Those together with some LED strips under the front steps light up the area fine on a dark night

Where to attach outdoor LED strip lights
I installed a led strip to my frame rail. I can change the colors and leave it on all night instead of the porch light.
