Where to mount inverter

Does anyone have advise on where to mount an inverter on my 93 30' Southwind? My problem is the house batteries are located in the front, next to the chassis battery and I want to place a Xantrex Freedom 1800 within 5' of them. If anyone has done an installation with a similar layout, I would appreciate your input.

Can you mount it ABOVE the batteries, inside the house? (I know, fan noise) Beyond that I'd need to see your RV.

Home is where I park it!

A friend has the same coach with the batteries and BCC up front. Do you have room where your converter/charger is? May not be within 5', just make sure you use the correct size supply cables as suggested by the inverter manufacturer.

My converter/charger is under the fridge along with the ckt brkr panel. I have decided to put the inverter/charger under the hide-a-bed (behind the drivers seat). I have 3/0 welder cable to make the 7-8 ft run from the batteries. I can run the AC lines along the wall, under the sink/stove cabinet to the CB panel. I am now looking for a 200-250 amp CB for the battery line. I see some on Ebay and Amazon but I'm not sure they are what I need, they claim to accept 6-10ga cable??? Seems like that light of a cable would melt before the CB ever tripped. As usual, I am probably making this a lot more difficult than it needs to be.
