Not familiar with the particular model, and am replying only because no one else has. All that I am familiar with crank the generator off of the house battery.

When you say "house" it's obvious what bank you're talking about. When you say "coach" it means the same as "house" to lots of RVers. The engine start battery is called the "chassis" battery.
Having said all that my gen starts from the house batteries.

My first motorhome the generator was started off the chassis battery. Ive had to use the coach (house) battery to jump start it before. My current motorhome the generator is started off the coach batteries.

So, to clarify, my generator is started from the chassis battery. The same one that starts the motor home engine.

Hi SuperDad,
As you can see by the replies, unless someone has the same make, year and model of your coach their answer may or may not be correct. Consider taking the ground wire off the chassis battery(s). Try to start the generator. If it starts, the coach batteries are powering the starting process. If it does not start, then the chassis battery(s) provide th starting power.

Why couldn't you just use the battery cutoff switches to isolate which system? I don't know, I've never tried this. Seems like it would work though.

Good Idea! I'll try that tomorrow.
