I looking at replacing tires on my MH.

Which Bridgestone tires would be comparable to Michelin XRV 255/80R/22.5?

Which BF Goodrich tires would be comparable to Michelin XRV 255/80R/22.5?

Can't say the majority of forum likes either one of those choices for that size. It seems to be Michelin or Toyos.
I have Toyos. They were 1/3 cost of Michelin and are just fine.

The 265/75/22.5 tire offered by the non Michelin tire suppliers compares almost identically to the 255/80/22.5 in overall diameter and weight ranges. No speedometer recalibration required. It is a little wider and does specify using an 8.25" wide rim. You have many different brands and tread designs to choose from.

I replaced my Michelin 255/80/22.5 tires with Bridgestone 265/75/22.5 R250s several years ago and have been very satisfied with them.

XRV are an unusual tire, as they as well as the Goodyear G670 are two tires that I remember as being made specifically for RV duty. So for that reason, really no Bridgestone or BF Goodrich tires are comparable. (Now, you said comparable, vs compatible...).

The BF Goodrich ST230 is a respected Tier 2 tire. The FMCA Michelin discount applies to them, as Michelin makes them. If they have a size that will work for your coach.

Bridgestone has a newer R283 tire, vs say the older R268 or R250, that is supposed to be better form rolling resistance, and get good reviews.

Another tire that came highly recommended to me form large coach owners that I trust, is the Hankook AH12. (They said AH12, but many positive posts on the AH11, if that is the size that best matches your needs.). This would be your lowest cost option, an yet from all reports still get you a good, safe riding tire.

Michelin, well we went with the Michelin XZA2 for our current set, the XZA3 is newer, but was not in the sizes we needed. We replaced the XZE* set we had due to age. This was a very 'robust', thus able to take some curb kissing, and other rough roads well. But at a small costs of higher rolling resistance, and a bit stiffer sidewall.

I recently went through what you are going through. After much searching and comparison shopping, I decided to go back to the Michelins. Why...? Because I had had a bad experience with Toyos and Goodyears on two previous coaches and had NEVER had a problem with Michelins. IMHO, you get what you pay for.

You might want to look at Medium Truck tires. We have 6 yr old Sumitomo tires, 245/75R22.5 ST 718s, that have a good ride, no checking on the sidewalls, and a good tread after about 25K miles. Several others on here have been happy with them, too. Other equivalents you might want to look at are Toyo M120Z,M143,& 111Z; Goodyear G647 RSS, G149 RSA, Michelin XZE or XZE2, Dunlop SP345 & 348s. The secret to keeping all these tires, as well as the RV specials is proper inflation and UV protection when you park or store.
