Considering the age of either coach a good manufacture helps but prior owner maintenance will play a bigger role. After 13 years you will need to judge the rigs individually and inspect each one carefully. With regards to full timing only you can make that call. The floor plan will plan a big roll and you will need to consider if the lay out will support you lifestyle, wants and needs. What may work for me could be a deal breaker for you.

And for everyone piling on the Mandalay thinking it is a Thor product how about doing a bit of reacher before passing judgement. A 2005 Mandalay was not a Thor product until 2010, five year later, when Thor acquired Four Winds and Damon. If that was a close enough association the pass judgement then the HR should be avoided at all cost considering Monaco Coach ceased to exist after being granted Chapter 7 liquidation Bankruptcy four years later. I can still get support from Thor for my 2006 Four Winds product can you do the same for a 2005 HR?

Hmmmm.... Our former coach was titled as a 1999 Thor Four Winds-Infinity 34-H.
2010 was just the "official" rolling all the various brands they controlled under the re-organized Thor Corporate umbrella.
Our '99 was a POS when we bought it and after 3 years of ownership ..was still a POS when we sold it and purchased our current ride.

Regardless of who owned what back in the day, IF an owner needed something TODAY that would still mean that would have to interface with Thor, which means if you need a part or had to order something, Thor will not call you back after leaving dozens of messages, then when you actually speak to someone, they will give you the worlds biggest run around, then if you are actually lucky enough to figure out what you need an order it, Thor will ship you the wrong part and tell you its your fault, then when you need to return the wrong part Thor will charge you every fee imaginable to take the part back so you will just end up keeping the part because its cheaper than sending the part back.

Thor is another name for an organised crime syndicate hiding behind the guise of an RV manufacture.

So I guess the official liquidation of Monaco Coach in 2009 was just taking a corporation that had been failing off life support that should have happen years earlier?

I've interfaced with Thor several times and had no problems. I've requested and received via email PDF conversions of design drawings, coach specifications and I have ordered body moldings that were not available from other manufactures with one call and received exactly what I needed within a week.

According to an IRV2 contributor the new owners of Monaco don't appear to be so helpful - dissapointed with the lack of help from Monaco. Are you sure you didn't misdial and call Monaco?

Monaco and Holiday Rambler still exist and make coaches today under the REV group. No different than Thor buying Mandalay.

I have had no problems getting info on my 05 HR Navigator. They provided all the original owners manuals. wiring schematics, paint formulas and even the original sales tag for my coach. They have great service centers in Indiana and Florida.
