white trim replacement

I am a new HR class A owner...its used like me..

2000 Endeavor has a small white trim strip along the side of the RV...looks to be 1/2 inch wide and sits in a track.

Where can I buy this material..cleaned up the entire MH except this will not clean properly..

Most any RV store should have it in stock or can get it.

i have a 1999 endeavor and had the same problem. i used straight bleach to clean mine and worked very well. most likely it is mold or mildew. i applied it and let it sit for a short time and you can watch it fade. i try to be careful when applying although i dont believe it will hurt the finish

I can't see the side too good but check this listing and see if this is it you will have to pull some of yours out to see the style if it clips like a C or if it inserts

Well I tried that as well and was worried it might get on the other surfaces...I know its not that expensive but everything I see is 1 inch..I think mine is like 1/2 to 3/4 but have not seen that...plus the stuff on my MH now is hard as a rock..age has affected it..

There are different widths, be careful what you order. Also, it is available on amazom.com.

Theres some stuff called "Goop" comes in a small can that will clean that strip. WalMart has it & it is at auto parts stores.
Just as with the bleach, would be careful though not to get any on the painted surfaces

You've probably had time, to have looked through all the paper work & manuals of the coach, so you've seen the construction of the coach body frame is welded aluminum tubing, outside skin it painted aluminum & roof is painted aluminum & end caps are fiberglass. Pretty high quality build, different from most coach bodys & guess what you get just as an added bonus, should there come a roof leak, water might get into the insulation, but you wont have to worry about a 2X2 framing stick rotting.

If you replace that strip, give a shout back & let me know what size it takes.

If it's in good condition otherwise, prepping and painting it might be a lot less trouble? Then you don't have to worry about it discoloring or staining again...

Lesson learned here!

Wife tried a number of different cleaners on our HR. What worked best was Awesome Orange All purpose degreaser & spot remover.

Talking Trim

Well I pulled a 2 inch long off the MH today and will ordering the 1 inch wide stuff mentioned. I placed the gasket flat and it is 1 inch total...will await the new gaskets and when the package arrives I will pull a small section and try to install first...with the cold track and warm gasket it should fit well...I will clean our the tracks and make some photos if anyone wants..

I am working to make this 12 year old MH as nice as possible...being OCD with neatness is a difficult thing when owning a used RV

Replacement side molding trim

I wanted to replace mine on my 99 Monaco LaPalma and found it hanging on the shelf at Camping World. Fairly easy to replace but the warmer the better!
If you have a CW near you; they usually have it in stock or you can order it.
Looks much nicer with the new stuff installed!

After you replace the trim seal it with clear RV Proflex to keep water out mainly on the trim above the boxes seal the topside
