Believe it or not, we once had a 1994 Sunnybrook travel trailer that came with a doorbell. I eventually removed the batteries from it because people couldn't resist ringing it no matter what campground we were at. I guess the novelty of it was too much to resist for them, a lot of them said they didn't think it really was a doorbell and were surprised that it rang when they pushed the button.

Our Signature has a doorbell. I installed a new lighted button and it now works, but the volume is pretty low.

I added a wireless one to the '02 DSDP some years ago. The outside button was water resistant, not water proof so it quit working in a year or so. Never bothered to replace it.
Present rig doesn't have one built in and I don't plan on adding one.

Old school here, just knock. I like it that way because it is very low maintenance, works rain or shine, and very cost effective.

Mine came with one too, lighted button just like a house.

Some of my family members when visiting get a real kick out of ringing it. I don't understand the novelty really but who am I to rain on their parade lol.

Not common especially if wireless. I have added one to my rig as well, does not currently work but I know why and can fix it later

I have owned two Airstream motor homes with doorbells. I owned both over a combined period of twelve years. In that time, Not one single person used the doorbell. If you like goodies and want to install one, go for it. I dont think you will find it that useful. Motorhomes are so compact, you can easily hear a knock at the door.

No your lucky. It's better to have a silent alarm (ahem... Dog). IMO
