No, the old Federal Bridge weight law only allowed a maximum rating of 20,000#'s for a single rear axle. Some years ago some toll roads we weighing RV's as they come to the booth and making them turn around since they were over the legal weight.
Now they've put in an exemption for RV's and allow higher single axle weights so the one I commented on is now legal but wasn't originally as it left the factory.

I weighed mine once with full tank of gas, half tank fresh water, holding tanks about half full and all the stuff we had in it for a month long trip.

I have since removed a fair amount of STUFF we never used but haven't reweighed it. I keep the tires at the Michelin suggested pressure for my original weight.

Do you people who weigh your rigs many times see much of a difference?

We have weighed all our rvs for many years. Primarily to make sure we weren't overloaded but with the MH, to get the tires at proper pressure for a better ride. Have done 4 corner weighs since they have become available.

Twice a year. First trip out in spring to see how much stuff I added over winter and restocking. Second time is after loading up for our extended summer vacation. Got lucky with the current coach with a lot of excess capacity being about 1200 pounds under maximum. Cost less then the fixings for my weekend beverages.

Yes, if I'm carrying the bike, I need to put max pressure in my rear tires. If I'm not carrying the bike, I can drop the pressure down by 5-7 pounds and get a little smoother ride back there. Same with the fronts, when I'm fully loaded I add air to them as well otherwise they're running around 10 pounds less air.

All of this is based on the weights I obtained from the scales and the load I had at the time I weighed the coach.

Something to keep in mind. I weight our coach for years at the truck scale (which only weights each AXLE, not individual corners). when I used the portable scale and weighed each corner, I was surprised how much difference from left to right the weight was. Close to 1200 lbs difference. I thought I was the exception, come to find out, that's the norm, at least on Monaco products.

The reason that I have weighed many times is that I have done some upgrades to the suspension and coach interior and those upgrades have added weight. Also I have done modifications to the Rubicon toad that have added weight.

So I went from 19,160 lbs (loaded with the basics only) shortly after we bought it new (no modifications) to 20,260 lbs fully loaded, with all upgrades and modifications and extra passengers, etc.

At each step along the way I have adjusted the tire pressure for actual load plus 10 psi.

I did a recent weigh and got a 4 corner weigh. At the local FlyingJ there was room to get the coach half on the scales, left side, and I went around and weighed the whole coach. I'm closer to the rear GW than I would like so the plan is to load heavier stuff more forward and also shift some to the left as much as I can. You can see the results on this forum under "weighed the coach" thread.

As I recall the cost to weigh was $13 and $2 for the second weigh.

It's a good idea to weigh in once Ina while "just-in-case" otherwise you'll never know if your over your weight limit. I did fully loaded and found out I was 1000 lbs under. Nice to know!
