The Ford shocks are nothing like the cheap shocks that you can buy at a discount auto parts store. They are specifically built to the original specifications when your chassis was built. Plus they come with a 2 year unlimited mile warranty. But, Ford does use billstien for some applications. The newer F53 chassis come with Billstiens, the SVT F150 lightning came with them in 01-04, and they may be involved in others. Im on the fence on which shocks I get for my coach but it will be likely Billstiens. Just because I hear they have a better ride to them. Less jolting.

ok thanks.the reason im asking is that the ford shocks are the same colour as bilstein(yellow with a blue boot) so i was curious if the ford shocks where made by bilstein.

I think one of those stickers does say Billstien on it. I replaced the shocks with Ford ones on my old 93 F53 coach I had and they were the same black color as the originals. Im pretty sure they were the same up to 97. Im sure Ford does not use just one vendor for building them shocks for all of their vehicles. Im sure since they have contracts with Billstien already, they make many of the stock black painted shocks also.

Here are some pics on a 2013 F53 chassis. They come with factory installed Billstiens. Notice the similar sticker. I was measuring them to see if they would fit on my older coach. I just hope they are the correct ones for your coach.

Our 13 F53 came with Bilsteins. Total junk. Replaced them at 700 miles with Koni FSD shocks all around. Way better ride. Worth every penny. The Bilsteins wouldn't even make a good boat anchor. The Konies have to weigh twice as much as the Bilsteins. Nothing to the Bilsteins but a pretty paint job on a piece of junk.
