It should be a setting on the inverter.

Your auto start feature is enabled. You need to learn how to set that up so it does what you want it to but basically it saves your batteries by not allowing them to go below a set point...ideally 50% state of charge. Turning your battery disconnect off is a good idea too so you don't have any "ghost" loads draining them.

When I first got my current MH I awoke one night at 2 am when the generator fired up. I thought there was a ghost. Then it hit me - the AGS. Grabbed the manual and got smart on it real quick.

Moisture/water on the switch panel of the gen can cause starting with no human input.

But, what explains the two times in the past where I had to recharge both sets of batteries when I left the coach/chassis power on for over a week.

This is strange to me...

You have the RG7 control panel? It needs rebooting now and then and yes it will do some odd things.

Then I would be looking and the bad switch suggestion. A sure way to stop the generator from starting while in storage is to install a battery cut off switch on the generator battery cable.

My Onan Quiet Diesel has a remote start option BUT you must set it B4 it will auto start.
Each time you ,move the coach you have to setup the Auto Start. This is a safty feature that "should" prevent the unit from starting after someting like moving your coach into a CLOSED garage! Don't want that sucker starting up in an enclosed/locked room!
