will lazy days spring for

We might be purchasing an 07 tiffin bus from lazy days that has original tires and original batteries. I think the timing on replacement is marginal but does anyone think LD can be pushed into replacement? Anyone have any experience with this kind of bargaining?

Hi anotherone,
LD will do whatever is in the sales contract. This is when you need to examine the coach closely. Determine what needs to be done before you buy. These items need to be put into the contract. Not as an addendum to the contract, but right on the front page where there is room to list items. Negotiate the price based on what is in the contract.

FYI, specify the brand of tire to be used. If you don't, it gives LD the option to put the cheapest tire they can find on the coach.

Figure what you can get good tires for and new batteries. Take that amount off the true value of the RV and make an offer. If they balk, tell then you ill pay $XXXXX for the RV and they have to put on XYZ brand tires and new batteries.

Just be sure the contract specifies the proper tire brand and size.

We are at LD also. Get a ladder and check the roof radius for hair line cracks. Check the wet bay floor from underneath with a screw drive for softness. Check the DS slide floor for delamination. These have been problems in those years on some Tiffin coaches. You can insist on new tires and batteries. That is several years early on an age tire change if they are 07 tires. Check the date code on tire. The batteries are a toss up as to gotta be replaced. Just have everything listed on the contract.

Just make sure that your expectations are clear and written down. You are only entitled to what is in the contract.

No matter what you discuss with LD, if it is not on paper when you sign the contract, it dosen't exist. Get it in writing with the sales managers signature. Good luck. Get all you can get but get it in writing.
